Description

Berries are delicious fruits, high in antioxidants & easy to grow! Here are some fun facts about some of the most popular Dave Wilson Nursery varieties we are offering this month, while supplies last:

Boysenberry: The original “Boysenberry”: a Rubus (caneberry) hybrid of uncertain origin cultivated and promoted by Walter Knott (eventually Knott’s Berry Farm) near Anaheim, California beginning in the 1920s and 30s. Large, juicy, delicious, sweet-tart berries famous for jams and pies. Also wonderful fresh, especially when picked just right and consumed within a day or two. Vine-like, trailing, thorny growth habit. Generally more productive than the thornless selection. Early harvest. Self-fruitful. Zones 5-10.

Container Size: 4″x4″x12″
Plant Size: ~ 18″

NOTE: All sales final. All plants shipped in good condition & watered prior to shipment. These berries are deciduous plants that lose all their leaves each winter– most of our plants are currently changing to their fall colors and/ or dropping leaves. Late fall & winter is the best time of the year for purchasing your deciduous fruiting plants as they suffer minimal plant stresses from being shipped and rehomed to your backyard orchard, than at any other time of the year! Expect your plants to rebound with new growth by spring, shortly after your last chance of frost date passes your growing zone.
